What’s In My Purse!

As I’m out doing a bunch of different things I noticed that I always carry the same brown leather hobo bag! I figured out that the reason why I always carry the same bag is because all of the things I have in it are necessities! Here’s some of my necessities:

  1. Banana Boat SPF 15 Tanning Lotion
  2. Juicy Couture Go Steady Zip Wallet
  3. Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss in Pink Blossom
  4. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Fragrance
  5. Hot Topic Purple Wayfarers
  6. Asos Retro Skulls Friendship Bracelets
  7. Essie Nail Polish in Jamaica Me Crazy
  8. Essie Nail Polish in Fear or Desire

Of course I have more stuff in my purse than just this,I also have hand sanitizer, bandaids, hair ties, and more, these are just a few essential things that every girl should have on hand! See ya soon!

Beach Lovin’

There is just something about the beach that makes it such a great place to be. It may be the sound of the sound of the waves rolling onto the shore or maybe the feeling of the sun’s warmth on my skin. Whatever it is… I love it.

I know some people don’t like the beach but I loovve it! It’s the perfect place to kick back and relax, listen to the newest music, flip through the latest magazines, and even scope out the cutest guys! I even like the smell of my sunscreen (it’s coconut)!

As you can probably tell, I went to the beach today with my sister and my friend. We went to Jones Beach which is about an hour drive from where I live but it was worth it because there are not many good beaches in Westchester County (they’re all smelly, yuck!).  The waves were huge today, they were so much fun! We splashed around in the water and laid out in the sun. I say all-in-all it was an enjoyable day.

I just got my park pass for the local beaches around here so when I get my junior license (which sounds be in about a month!!) I can go to the beach whenever I want! Now that would be the life…

Anyways, this was the first time in a very long time that I went to the beach without getting the least bit sunburned! I think I actually got a little tan too! This never happens I usually burn and then peel and I turn back to paleness, but this time was different and i like it!

Everyone’s Leaving!

Hey! So lately I’ve been pretty busy trying to get together with all of my friends who are leaving to go to camp or go on vacation! This is probably the saddest part of summer because all of the friendships that I’ve made throughout the year (and all of my existing friendships) have to be put on hold because people are visiting family overseas, going to summer camp, or just going on a long vacation.

Nowadays, it’s easier to communicate with people who are far away with texting and whatnot. I’ll def still be in touch with them don’t worry! Sadly, some camps don’t allow cell phones and cell service in other countries is expensive so I’ll be sending those friends some nice letters!

Just the other day I stopped by one of my best friend’s house to help her pack for her SIX WEEK trip to France! It was sad helping her pack up but I know she’ll have loads of fun eating croissants and speaking French! She promised me that we will hang out when she gets home in August!

Also, yesterday another one of my friends came to my house because she is leaving on Saturday to go to Florida for three weeks! I’m really going to miss her because she is one of my go-to girls! We were going to spend some time outside but it was raining cats-and-dogs! There was non-stop thunder and lightning for hours SO I’m hoping we can go to the beach one last time before she leaves!

I know I’ll miss all of my friends who are going away and I’ll definitely keep in touch! Don’t worry though, I have a lot of friends that are staying here with me so I won’t be all alone after everyone is gone! Hope everyone is having a great summer! xoxo

Demi Lovato Amazes New Jersey

Last night was one of the most amazing nights ever, I went to Demi Lovato‘s concert in Holmdel, New Jersey!! I went with my sister and four of our friends and the six of us piled in our minivan and drove on down to NJ. After our two hour drive in stop and go traffic (and after a quick pit stop in Subway) we finally got to the theatre. Luckily for us we had bought VIP tickets so before the show we got to chill out in the VIP lounge and sit on fancy couches before the show started!

Hot Chelle Rae opened for Demi and they were waayy better that I expected them to be! I love their songs ‘Tonight Tonight’ and ‘I Like It Like That’ but now after the concert I also really like ‘Radio,’ ‘Whatever,’ and ‘Downtown!’ Not only are they extremely talented live but the lead singer is pretty cute!

Right as the show started there was non-stop thunder and lightning but the rain could not stop us die hard lovatics! It was an outdoor theatre but (thank goodness) our seats were covered! It was as if it wasn’t even raining!

When Demi finally came out she opened with her fast-paced hit ‘All Night Long’ looking fierce in a black mesh bodysuit, high-waisted red leather shorts, and a white and black cardigan (not to mention her ah-mazing ombre pink hair!). The entire show she was dancing and shimmy-ing around the stage belting out every note as though it was her last. Demi is a definitely phenomenal performer but, even more than that, she is incredibly talented. Her voice is so much stronger now than it was years ago and she doesn’t need any computerization added to her voice, her voice is PERFECTION.

Everything about Demi is inspiring. She remained true to herself despite the massive amount of fame she has and she is still the goofy, quirky person she was at the start of her career. Demi is always on the news for the good she does, she stays out of trouble! Demi is so admirable for realizing she was a danger to herself and seeking help. Over the years, Demi has grown into a strong, honest, and beautiful person who will continue to spread her love to all that needs it.

My all-time top 5 Demi songs are:

  1. Lightweight
  2. Fix A Heart
  3. Here We Go Again
  4. Give Your Heart A Break
  5. Get Back

Last night was fantastic. Demi was flawless as usual. I had a blast! STAY STRONG!

High Hopes For Summer ’12

HEY, I’m Lindsay! I’m just your average happy-go-lucky teen who strives for a better than average summer. I love to kick back and relax, read, and, strangely enough for a kid, I actually really like learning new things! I always find myself asking questions to satisfy my curiosity. For me, this summer is going to be all about finding myself because, to be honest, I have no clue!

I plan to be adventurous, experience new things, and discover what I like and what I don’t like. I thought it would be super fun to make a blog to document all of the crazy things that will happen to me this summer.

Last summer vacation was wasted watching tv and sleeping and I refuse to let that happen again, I got absolutely nothing done and before I knew it my break was over and sophomore year had started. Boy do I have a list of the things I want to do this summer; I want to volunteer, get a nice tan, go to the MET, be healthier,  finish my summer assignment early, and soo much more. And of course, I’ll hang out with my friends too!

All in all I have a good feeling that this summer will be the most eventful (and the most fun!) summer I have had in a loonng time. Check back to see what I’ve been up to!
